 Langer UK is Europe’s premier laboratory for the manufacture of all styles of functional and accommodative foot orthoses.
Founded by pioneering podiatrist Dr. Sheldon Langer, Langer UK begun production in the UK in 1980 and introduced to the UK podiatric market the concept of the functional foot orthosis.
The Langer manufacturing style of vacuum forming a wide variety of thermoplastic materials over plaster of paris or milled casts, allows the clinician the freedom to prescribe orthoses that are pathology and activity specific. Langer focus‘s on the use of intrinsic and extrinsic posts to balance the forefoot to the rearfoot and orientate the orthosis inside the shoe.
Langer orthoses incorporate rearfoot skives, first met and first ray cut outs and the patented Kinetic wedge concept. Langer UK is also the home of PPT™, the world class medical cushioning and padding material which is used exclusively on all Langer products.
